ISLAMABAD: Feb 24, 2023: Pakistan’s packaging industry is facing acute shortage of raw material used in its products.
Sources said the packaging industry is making repeated request to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to consider it as an essential industry and allow it to open letter of credits (LoCs) to facilitate import of raw material used in making of its products.

6 billion bags are produced annually and not a single bag can be seen scattered on the roads and streets. Its recyclable and it’s a need for every industry whose products are to be packed.
