Pak-Afghan Taliban talks conclude at positive note

ISLAMABAD; An Afghan Taliban delegation ,led by Mulla Abdul Ghani Bradar, held formal talks with Pakistani top authorities at Foreign Office in Islamabad on Tuesday. Foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, led Pakistani team in the talks. The two sides expressed satisfaction over the progress made so for on Afghanistan peace process and intra -Afghan dialogue and reaffirmed their support to take this process to the logical conclusion. Foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, welcomed the Afghan Taliban delegation at Foreign Office and expressed full support to play its role in resolving the issues relating to Afghanistan in consultation with all the stakeholders. Speaking to the visiting Taliban delegation, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan is all out for bringing early peace in Afghanistan. He added that Pakistan fully support Doha agreement and demand from all concerned parties to honour it and help put an end to war- like situation in Afghanistan. Mulla Abdul Ghani Bradar thanked Pakistan for extending support for early solution to the issues relating to Afghanistan situation. He noted that Taliban will honour the Doha agreement and hope the other stakeholders, in particular , the Aghan government will follow the suit.
