Pakistan and Russia Explore Expanding Bilateral Connectivity

 

Moscow, December 3, 2024: Pakistan’s Minister for Energy, Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, and Russian Minister for Transport, Roman Starovoyt, met today to discuss the potential for expanding bilateral connectivity, which they believe could benefit not only their two countries but the entire region.

Minister Leghari, who is currently in Moscow to co-chair the 9th session of the Pakistan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission (IGC), praised the increasing level of cooperation between Pakistan and Russia.

The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing cooperation in the transport sector, with discussions covering road, rail, and air connectivity projects.

During the meeting, Minister Leghari invited Minister Starovoyt to visit Pakistan to further strengthen ties. Both sides agreed to continue their discussions and work together to enhance cooperation in the transport sector.
