Pakistan beats Sri Lanka in Galle test

Abdullah Shafiq's 112 runs not out and Babar Azam's fine tuned inning made it a test for Pakistan

LAHORE. July 20, 2022. Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by four wicket in Galle test as a result of a great partnership between Pakistani skipper , Babar Azam , and opener Abdullah Shafiq.
Pakistan started the play with 222 for 3 on the fifth and last day of the test match. Sri Lankan bowers could not repeat their performance in the second inning against Pakistan . Abdullah Shaifq’s heroic 112 not out made it an easy end to beat Sri Lanka in the first test match.
In the first inning , Sri Lanka made robust performance and gave a good total to Pakistan . Its bowers too made stunning performance and bowled Pakistani side . However , in the second inning, Sri Lankan side seemed under pressure. Pakistan’s spinner Nawaz Khan played a fine inning against Sri Lanka . He bowled out five Sri Lankan players. His outstanding performance restricted host side to a total which Pakistan could achieve easily .
Abdullah Shafiq and skipper Babar Azam’s fine inning made it happened for Pakistan by Sri Lankan side by four wicket on the last day of the play . Pakistan needed 120 runs on the last day which Pakistan achieved with a loss of one wicket .
