Pakistan bounce back: turn tide on England to win first T20

Nottingham (UK), Pakistan made wonderful comeback by defeating England in the first T20 at Trent Bridge stadium in Nottingham.

Pakistan made its highest score of 332 runs against England in the first T20 game.

England won the toss and put Pakistan to bat. Its skiper , Babar Azam, decided to make himself a partner with Rizwan for opening the game. This combination worked up to his expectations. Both Babar Azam and Rizwan played stunning inning of 150 runs. Rizwan got out when his individual score was 63. Soon after his departure, Babar Azam also got out. His individual score was 85. Then Fakhar Zaman, Hafeez and Azam Khan made reasonable contribution by quick scoring to take Pakistan’s net score on the board to 232 for 6.

England made aggressive start. Its opener pair took score to a reasonable total. In the first 10 overs, England made quick score and had put run on the board at required runrate. However, as a result of quality balling and exceptional fielding, Pakistan managed to get hold on the game. Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan each got three wickets to paved way for Pakistan’s much- needed win over England in the first T20 by 31 runs

This win in the first T20 will help Pakistan team to get confidence and win the remaining two T20 games also.

Pakistan had lost ODIs series to England.
