Islamabad : August 2 ,2024: Pakistan’s parliament adopted a resolution against assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh condemning Israel ‘s brutal act . Meanwhile Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Members of Assembly attended the funeral prayer of Shaheed Ismail Haniya.
Addressing the national assembly prime minister Shehbaz Sharif announced to observe the day of mourning on Friday to show solidarity with the Palestinians.
The funeral prayer of martyred leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was held in absentia at Parliament House Islamabad on Friday, in which Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other members of the National Assembly participated.
Ismail Haniyeh’s forgiveness was prayed for in the absent funeral prayer.
It should be remembered that the resolution condemning the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was unanimously passed in the National Assembly on Friday.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar presented the resolution on the issue of Ismail Haniyeh’s martyrdom during the assembly session. The resolution adopted a position that more than 40 thousand Palestinians have been martyred due to Israeli atrocities. Pakistan opposes all types of terrorism. Yes, this House rejects Israeli atrocities.
On July 31, former Palestinian Prime Minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was martyred in an assassination attempt in Iran. At the beginning of the National Assembly session on Friday, Jamshed Dasti raised the slogans of “Long live Palestine and “Death to Israel”. Later, prayers were offered for the head of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh. Maulana Misbahuddin offered prayers for forgiveness.
