Islamabad, April 18, 2025 – Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) held a consultative meeting to review the draft “Hazardous Substances Rules,” aiming to enhance environmental safety and protect worker health through stricter regulation of hazardous materials.
Chaired by the Director General of Pak-EPA, the meeting gathered key stakeholders, including representatives from provincial EPAs, academia, industry, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, and WWF Pakistan.
The participants offered technical insights and policy recommendations to refine the draft rules, encouraging environmentally sound practices and sustainable management of hazardous substances across sectors.
