Pakistan Power Minister Discuss Future Energy Projects with Iranian Counterpart

QINGDAO: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari met with Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian during the Third Belt & Road Ministerial Conference in Qingdao, China.

Minister Leghari emphasized the significance of cross-border energy projects for enhancing connectivity and trade. The discussion focused on future collaboration, particularly in developing electricity projects in Gwadar, Balochistan.

Both ministers exchanged views on the necessity of improved energy connectivity among regional countries, highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation in the operation and maintenance of power plants. They stressed the need for regular coordination and communication.
