Pakistan ready for conventional, unconventional war; civil, military duo

ISLAMABAD: President, Dr Arif Alvi, in his address to central ceremony held at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi on Monday in connection with Defence and martyrs Day (September 6) gave a loud and clear message to those evil forces which were carrying out deadly campaign to keep Pakistan engaged in terrorist activities that Pakistan was fully aware of their nefarious designs and capable of foiling them.
He said Pakistan is for peace in the region but it can go to any extent to ensure its freedom. Dr Arif Alvi said Pakistan was fully prepared for any conventional and non -conventional war if it was imposed on it.

In his address , Army chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa, said Pakistan’s defence forces were ever ready to defend the motherland. He said Pakistan’s journey of over 7 decades was full of sacrifices and unparalelled sucesses on all fronts. He warned to the enemy that Pakistan will give befitting response to any misadventure. He vowed that Pakistan ‘s defence forces will never allow its enemy to succeed in its evil designs. The army chief said Pakistan’s future was linked to democracy. He urged upon the United Nations and other powers to come forward for durable peace in Afghanistan.

Earlier, the nation celeberated September 6 as national defence day with complete fervor and reiterated its committment to stay with its brave army for foiling evil designs of the enemy like one of the September 6 1965.
The defence day celeberations started with morning prayers in all big and small cities, towns and villages across Pakistan.
The whole nation celeberated the defence day to remember bravery and courage of the armed forces which fought with force to repel India’s unwarranted attack on Pakistan on September 6, 1965.

India had unleashed a huge military attack on Pakistan in wee hours of September 6, 1965.

India had lauched 5 times military force in unwarranted attack and selected many border areas to give a big push to Pakistan. But Pakistan was ready not to repel the enemy’s attack only, but also inflict it huge loss militarily.
India’s September 6, 1965 attack proved Pakistan’s military might, besides giving a loud and clear message to the world that Pakistan as a nation was unbeatable.

A central ceremony of the defence and martyrs day was celeberated at General Headquarters (GHQ) , Rawalpindi.

President ,Dr Arif Alvi, Senate chairman, Sadiq Sanjrani, army chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa, opposition leader in the national assembly, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, a number of federal ministers, diplomats and prominent dignitaries, families of martyrs, serving and retired military officers and jawans attended the ceremony.
