LAHORE : September 28,2022: Pakistan clinched victory against England in another cliff hanger T20 fifth of the series in Lahore on Wednesday .
England won the toss and put Pakistan to bat first.
Pakistan put 145 run on board all out in 19 overs. The last wickets seemed too strong to confront England bowling attack . In T 20s, the teams make massive secore in the last three or four overs.
But Pakistan’s batting in these decisive overs was frail and at the end all its players were out in 19th over.
There seems no possibility of a win when a team does not utilise 20 overs. But Pakistani bowlers proved it wrong and restricted England side to a low run rate. England was losing wickets regularly ,making it difficult to the new comers to pace up runs making . Moeen Ali and Malan did their best to bring high run rate in the last few overw by hitting 4s and 6s and they managed to get closer to the victory at one point . But beautiful bowling by Nawaz , Haris , Shadab and in particular by Amir Jamal foiled visiting team to get the target of 146 run to take lead in 7 matches T 20 series .
England could not get 8 runs from last three balls and lost yet another thriller T 20 played at Qadafi stadium in Lahore .
With win in 5th T 20 on Wednesday, Pakistan is leading in 7 T 20 matches series against England .
Both teams will play next match on September 30th at the same stadium .
