Pakistani community celebrates Saudi founding day with special cake-cutting ceremony

JEDDAH ( Saudi Arabia) : In a heartfelt display of solidarity and brotherhood, the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia organized a special cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the Saudi Founding Day. The event was held under the auspices of the Pakistan National Unity Forum.

Presiding over the ceremony, Sardar Waqas Inayat, President and Convener of the Forum, expressed the deep affection and fraternal sentiments of the Pakistani people for the Saudi leadership and citizens. The ceremony was attended by prominent community figures, including President of the Pakistan Investors Forum Ch. Shafqat Mahmood, former Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister Ch. Azhar Abbas Waraich, Chairman of PML-N Ch. Akram Gujjar, former Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister Ch. Iftikhar Cheema, General Secretary of the Pakistan Investors Forum Mehr Abdul Khaliq Lak, President of the Overseas Forum Western Region Fida Hussain Khokhar, and Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Malik Javed, among others.

The attendees extended their heartfelt congratulations on Saudi Founding Day and emphasized the strengthening of the fraternal ties between the two nations.

Speakers remarked that Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia consider this holy land their second home. They lauded the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, noting that Vision 2030 has charted new paths for progress. They described Saudi Founding Day not only as a historic milestone but also as a day reflecting the determination, unity, and cultural heritage of the Saudi nation, conveying a message of historical awareness and a steadfast commitment to the future to the younger generation.

They highlighted that the day is a beautiful blend of past glory, present development, and future aspirations, inspiring the nation to stay connected to its roots while moving forward. The Pakistan-Saudi friendship, they stated, is deeper than the Red Sea and higher than the Himalayas, a source of pride for both nations. They acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for Pakistan in every difficult time. The speakers underscored the unique status of Saudi Arabia in the Muslim Ummah due to the Two Holy Mosques, a reverence that every Pakistani holds as part of their faith.

The ceremony concluded with the attendees jointly cutting a cake to mark the occasion and offering prayers for the continued progress and prosperity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
