Islamabad : Oct 9 : Pakistani presenter , Zainab Abbas’s uncereminial exit from India has damaged the cricket game beyond repair .
Zainab Abbas had arrived in Hyderabad in India on Oct 1, 2023 to join the International Cricket Council (ICC) presenters team and she had presented only one match of the world cup 2023 played between Pakistan and Netherlands. Within three days from Zainab Abbas ‘ arrival in India a pro Narinder Modi approach Indian lawyer filed an application with the police against Pakistani presenter for her 11- year old tweets regarding India’s oppression in occupied Kashmir.
Since coming into the power Narinder Modi has turned India into a graveyard of minorities . Now India is being ruled by hardliners Hindus. The Modi rule has followed an open policy of making lives of minorities , in particular , the Muslims like a hell. The Hindutawa culture is dominating in Indian society . The Hindu are seen flaying the Muslims in public and without any fear of action from the government .
The same anti Muslims and anti Pakistan culture dominated in Zainab Ababs’ case. According to Times of India , Pakistani presenter left India for her a decade old tweets . There is no independent veracity of the tweets which the Indian lawyer referred in his complaint to seek action against Zainab Abbas.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) too remained illusive on sad development which resulted in threatening of Zainab Abbas’ life in India . It , instead , taking the issue with India’s cricket board has simply stayed as a mere spectator.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) too seems bit confused on the issue . It did not officially protest with India and demanded ICC to provide security to Pakistani presenter for whole world cup 2023 episode.
