Lahore, June 20, 2023: As the government moves to appoint Zaka Ashraf a blue eyed of PPP supremo, Asif Ali Zardari. the Pakistan Cricket Board anagement Committee (PCBMC) met on Tuesday under the Chairmanship of Mr Najam Sethi at the Gaddafi Stadium in here in which it approved the composition of the Board of Governors.
The composition is as follows:
Two PCB Patron nominees
Four regional representatives i.e. Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi
Four department/service organisation representatives i.e. Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL), Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Khan Research Laboratory (KRL)
Upon the notification of the BOG members, the management committee shall stand dissolved and the PCB Election Commissioner shall assume the powers of the Chairman till the elections are held.
Najam Sethi has been signaled to get a side as PPP supremo wants to install Zaka Ashraf as PCB chairman . Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif, who seems like an obedient servant , has failed to resist the move to Zaka Ashraf as PCB boss. Pakistan’s cricket is facing many challenges like denial by arch rival India to play with Pakistan for any format including upcoming the world cup and in such a scenario installation of Zaka Asharf like tout of Asif Zardari can make Pakistan’s case before the International Cricket Council (ICC) worse.
