KARACHI: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership on Sunday lashed out at prime minister, Imran Khan , and his government for “Misleading the nation”.
Addressing a public rally here, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) , president, Shahbaz Sharif, said Imran Khan government has reversed the process of progess aimed at making Pakistan stronger financially. He said PMLN government had addressed many thorny issues in its tenure like loadshedding and restoration of peace in Karachi and other parts of the country.
Shahbaz Sharif said ” PMLN government had restored peace in Karachi and put an end to monster of “bori bund” killings, besides addressing the issue of loadshedding which was hampering progress of the country”. He alleged prime minister, Imran Khan, lies to the nation day and night to mislead it to believe in his hollow claims.
Shahbaz Sharif also lashed out at the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government for what he called ” Mega failure” . He said PTI government has miserably failed on all key fronts and as a result today the people of Pakistan were facing difficult times of their history. The PMLN president claimed Nawaz Sharif had started a journey of Pakistan’s progress and prosperity in his rule, but Imran Khan stopped this process and damaged the country through his wrong decisions.
Shahbaz Sharif said “Today the people are in serious trouble as they have no jobs and businesses to support their families”.
He said Karachi is a revenue generating city and it should be a top priorty of the goverment for development, but unfortunately this city of lights is not among top priorities of PTI for distribution of development funds.
Shahbaz Sharif assured the people of Karachi that PDM will address all their issues after coming into power.
“We will give you jobs and shelters to have a good living and work with dedication for development of the country”. Shahbaz Sharif asserted.
Jaamiat Ulema Islam (F) , chief, Maulana Fazal ur Rehman , repeated his mantra that PTI government was illegtimate government and its decisions were illegal also. He said incompetent government of Imran Khan has reversed growth of the country and pulled it down to below zero. He said the world was making progress, but unfortunately Pakistan was being dragged backward. He claimed PTI has made the people’s lives miserable by increasing the prices of medicines and edibles manyfold . He said revolution is the only option to throw PTI government out of power.
Maulana Fazal ur Rehman said PDM was very much alive and its leadership will bring peace in the country, besides addressing serious issues contronting Pakistan like joblessness and security. He said the fake rulers have made Pakistan an insecure state. He said PDM will continue its struggle to throw selected government out of power.
JUI (F) chief said today sugar, atta and other edibles have gone out of reach of low and middle class and in the given situation PDM can be a mere spectator.
