PDM launches countrywide protest against price-hike

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on Wednesday launched a countrywide protest against the government for putting the country into unparalelled price-hike .

The different opposition parties staged protest in different cities. The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) held a big protest rally in Rawalpindi. Senior PMLN leader , Maryam Aurangzeb, led the protest in Rawalpindi. Addressing the public rally, Maryam Aurangzeb said the government of Imran Khan has turned into a nightmare for the public as they do not have power to buy items of daily use.
She said today sugar, flour, ghee and other items of daily use have gone out of their buying power.

Later talking to media during the protest, Maryam Aurangzeb said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has financially destroyed the country and made the people lives miserable by introducing unprecedented price-hike. PMLN leader Mufta Ismail said PTI government is the most corrupt government and it will not be allowed to create more price-hike.
The Pakistan People Party (PPP) also staged protest in the country against the price-hike. Its party workers blocked the roads in Jhung, Okara, Faisalabad, Gujrat, and many other cities.
The opposition parties are going to continue to stage protests in all small and big cities of Pakistan.
The public also participated in the public rallies staged by the opposition parties.
