LAHORE/ISLAMABAD : March 5,2023: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Sunday slapped ban on airing Imran Khan’s speeches and statements live or recorded noting that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chief is targeting the state institutions.
The PEMRA order to ban airing Imran Khan’s statements or speeches have come in the context of his continuous firy speeches targeting the army.
The Islamabad police are still in Lahore giving strength to the rumours that they were in the city to arrest Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan in Tosha Khana case.
An Islamabad district and session court had cancelled Imran Khan’s bail for not showing up before it despite granting him sufficient time in Tosha Khana case .
Imran Khan, who is presently in Lahore at his residence at Zaman Park, played a cat and mouse game with the Islamabad police to dodge from arresting him.
The Islamabad police are in Lahore after a daylong cat and mouse game by the PTI chairman to foil his arrest.
Imran Khan is facing serious charges in Tosha Khana case and he is apprehensive of his arrest after issuance of non bailable warrant .
The PTI workers thronged at Zaman Park to resist any attempt of the Islamabad police .
Even after a full day , the party workers in a large number are guarding Imran Khan ‘s residence in Lahore to thwart any attempt of the Islamabad police to arrest their party chief.
Many senior PTI leaders are also present at Zaman Park to motivate the party workers to stay put to resist any attempt of the Islamabad police to arrest PTI chairman.
PTI senior leader , Fawad Hussain Chaudhary, is on his tweeter to give update on the situation on ground at Zaman Park for possible arrest of Imran Khan by the Islamabad police.
Talking to the media , Fawad Chaudhary said the government ‘s effort to arrest Imran Khan is a deleberate attempt to create lawlessness in the country .
He said “The government of thugs is intending to create violence by arresting Imran Khan in the country to delay the elections.
He also condemned the ban on speech and statements of PTI chairman and announced to challenge the PEMRA relating order in the court.
