PEMRA bans airing of fugitives , convicts’ speeches

ISLAMABAF: PMLN supremo , Nawaz Sharif ,  may not be appearing on main stream media in Pakistan any more as Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned airing of any fugitive or convict’s speeches.
PEMRA order ,dated October 1, 2020 makes it mandatory for Pakistan’s main stream electronic media not to air any speech of any fugitive and convict in the future.
PMLN supremo’s recent rant against the state institutions resulted in issuance of this PEMRA order .
Nawaz Sharif had come face -to- face with the piwerful state institutions particularly the army after his hard hitting speech to last all parties conference (APC) held in Islamabad two weeks ago.
Nawaz Sharif not only attacked the judiciary and armed forces in his address to APC, but he also made his same line of action of targeting the armed forces and top judiciary a routine in political addresses.
Nawaz Sharif’s this highly worrisome character has shocked the people of Pakistan and there is a strong feeling among those circles of the country which paved way for his departure to United Kingdom (UK) in November 2019, for treatment of his mysterious disease . They are upset over PMLN supremo’s betrayal and indulging in political activities from UK.
Nawaz Sharif seems convinced while sitting in London that his politics of encounter with state institutions was the only option to get some relief from the  cases.
Nawaz Sharif and other top members of Sharif dynasty are facing serious cases like money laundering.  Nawaz Sharif himself is convinced on the same counts and his daughter,  Maryam Nawaz, too is facing the similar charges in the court.
Now banning of speeches of Nawaz Sharif and other convicts by PEMRA will add to desperation of PMLN top leadership. It’s time to tell how PMLN will cope with the new situation which is definitely going to add to woes of Nawaz Sharif and other members of Sharif dynasty.
