LAHORE : Jan 15,2023: After discussion with Pakistan Teheek e Insaf (PTI) chairman , Imran Khan , Punjab Chief minister , Chaudhary Pervez Elahi, has sent Governor, Balighur Rehman, a panel of three names for care taker chief minister of the province .
These names included Naseer Khan , a close relative of Chaudhary Pervez Elahi, Ahmad Nawaz Sukhaira , a retired bureaucrat and known boy of Chaudhary of Gujrat and Nasir Khosa , a retired bureaucrat known for his credibility and good repute. He is the only credible and considerable name among three included in the panel by Chaudhary Pervez Elahi for nomination of caretaker chief minister of Punjab.
Although ,according to media reports , Mr Elahi held discussion with PTI chief for finalisation of his panel of three persons to recommend the Governor for appointment of the caretaker of the Punjab, but the names show Chaudhary Pervez Elahi intends to install his relative (Naseer Khan ) as caretaker chief minister and then influence his interim set up to play a dirty game to win maximum seats in next general elections. Since Chaudhary Pervez Elahi is a poltical crook of his own mind it’s not very easy to understand his each and every move . He enjoyed chief minister ship of Punjab for 10 months when his party strength was only 10. Now after possibly joining PTI he is using his cunningness to become even more closer to Imran Khan and win his support to grab chief minister ship of PTI wins next elections in Punjab.
Since opposition leader in Punjab assembly , Hamza Shahbaz , is yet to send his panel of three names for the caretaker chief minister there is a possibility that Hamza Shahbaz will reject the name of the relative of Chaudhary Pervez Elahi and put his weight behind a nominee having good repute . In that case , Nasir Khosa could be the best choice for the slot of caretaker chief minister of Punjab .
