PKR gains ground: latest rates of USD, other currencies today

KARACHI: August 17, 2023: The rupee finally got ground against US dollar and stopped its dominance on Thursday. The rupee had suffered major setback in the last couple of days when the process of change of power is in progress.

The data released by All Pakistan Currency Dealers Association (APCDA) today suggested USD-PKR parity at Rs 299.00 (buying) and Rs 302.00 (selling) in open market In interbank, USD value is recorded at Rs 294.00 (buying) and Rs 294.60 (selling) respectively.

Other major currencies are in correction mode today. At the closing of the first trading session, Saudi Riyal traded at Rs 80.00 (buying) and Rs 80.80 (selling). UAE dirham is valuing at Rs 82.00 (buying) and Rs 82,80 (selling) respectively.

Euro is trading at Rs 324.80 (buying) and Rs 327.00 (selling) respectively. UK pound sterling is trading at Rs 380.00 (buying) and Rs 383.00 (selling) and AUD valued today at Rs 200.00 (buying) and Rs 204.00 (selling). CAD was trading at Rs 221.00 (buying) and Rs 224.00 (selling) respectively. Chinese Yen was trading at Rs 44.00 (buying) and Rs 46.00 (selling) respectively.
