PM address: Can he call mid term elections?

ISLAMABAD : Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif, is likely to give a crucial address to the nation next week. The political pundits are attaching extra ordinary significance to the prime minister ‘s upcoming address.
Some political commentators have strong views that the prime minister can announce dissolution of assemblies to call on mid term elections in the country.
Others are of the view that the prime minister’s address to the nation would focus on economic and political situation in the country, but he may not go for dissolution of assemblies and call mid term elections in the country.
A source close to prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif, spoke to NEWSMAN on the issue without showing his identity. He expressed strong hope that the prime minister is going to dissolve assemblies in his address to the nation next week and call mid term elections in the country.
Supporting his arguments, the source said ” London huddle of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN ) had unanimous views that long delay in the elections was not in the favour of the party.
PMLN high command had held a series of meetings in London early last week and finally agreed to go to the general elections without any delay. However, its leadership refrained from making a formal announcement of dissolving the assembles and go for mid term elections without taking its coalition partners into confidence . The PMLN supremo , Nawaz Sharif , advised his party leadership who had travelled to London , to go back home and take all coalition partners into confidence and after creating consensus implement the decision of dissolving assemblies and go for the mid term. elections . Since coming into power in April last ,the coalition government is indecisive on key economic issues. Its policy of wait and see is hurting Pakistan on economic front . The alarming fall in value of the rupee and rise in inflation are two most glaring examples of indecisiveness of the coalition government . None of 11 coalition partners is ready to take much- needed tough decisions like withdrawal of subsidy on power and petroleum products to stop economic meltdown. The dire economic situation demands quick and bold decisions without taking into account its political fall out. Since the elections are around none in the government partners is ready to take the monstrous challenges and save the country from more economic damage .
