PM embarks upon crucial visit to China

Two sides going to sign multi billion dollar projects

ISLAMABAD: Prime minister, Imran Khan, arrived in Beijing China on a 4- day important visit.
The federal cabinet members including Foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance minister , Shaukat Tarin, Planning Commission deputy chairman , Asad Umar, Information minister, Fawad Hussain Chaudhary, Commerce minister, Abdul Razak Dawood , Advisor on National Security, Moeed Yousaf, and prime minister advisor on Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC) , Khalid Mansoor, are accompanying the prime minister for his very important visit to China.
Prime minister, Imran Khan, will have important meetings with Chinese leadership which will discuss almost all important issues relating to Pak-China ties, regional and international fast changing political situation.
Although, the official handout issued here on Thursday was silent on the potential agreement for Chinese investment in Pakistan’s key areas like agriculture , infrastructure, high tech science and research sector but independent sources confirmed to NEWSMAN that Pakistan will sign a number of agreements with China during the current visit of the prime minister to China. Beijing is going to undertake a number of new development projects other than CPEC to address the issue of slow pace of development in Pakistan.
Diplomatic sources also confided to NEWSMAN that China other than signing agreements for multi billion dollars development projects during the prime minister’s visit to Beijing is going to offer financial support to help Islamabad seta side financial pressure on Pakistan.
Pakistan is likely to seek financial support of $ 5 to 6 billion to offset rising financial burden. Pakistan is under huge financial pressure due to slow pace of revenue and other sources of income . According to an official of Finance ministry Pakistan require $ 12 billion by June 30 this year to pay off its loan liabilities.
The prime minister will also have one on one meetings with Chinese President and Chinese counterpart to share with them some important issues relating to the regional security.
The prime minister visit to China is extremely important and anti- Pakistan forces made a last minute effort to sabtoage it by conducting a loathing terrorist attack on Pakistan’s armed forces in Balochistan.
