PM rejects Asim Bajwa’s resignation as special advisor

ISLAMABAD: Prime minister, Imran Khan, on Friday rejected resignation of Asim Saleem Bajwa and asked him to continue to work as his special advisor on Information.
The prime minister told Asim Saleem BaJwa during a meeting here he was satisfied with his explanation on the issue of his and his family’s assets.

Asim Saleem Bajwa had called on the prime minister and presented him his resignation as special advisor.

Asim Saleem Bajwa, who is also chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) authority, had announce to resign as SAPM in the wake of on-going media campaign against him. Asim Saleem Bajwa had issued his explanatory statement refuting all allegations of assets concealments in his declaration submitted with the Election Commission of Pakistan in June this year. He had also offered to present details of his and his family’s assets at any forum for scrutiny.
