ISLAMABAD: Prime minister, imran Khan, on Sunday reinvegorated his stance on corruption and said “A man plundered national resources of Pakistan , bought properties in London and now delivering speeches from there”. He questioned how come the government can alone fight against corruption and powerful corrupt elements. He seemed changing his stance on corruption by saying “The society should fight against corrupt mafias like one sitting in London now”.
The prime minister basically conceded defeat by passing on the responsibility of fighting against corruption on the society.
The prime minister was addressing a ‘Rahmat ulil Alamin’ conference held here by the Religious ministry on Sunday.
The prime minister added the powerful elite never want accountability or the rule of law rather, he asserted , they want to continue to promote the culture of corruption to pile -up doubious assets.
Imran Khan said corrption brings price-hike and slows down the economy of the country.
The prime minister announced to form a “Rahmatulil Almin’ authority for research on the life of the holy prophet (PBUH) and reset the schools and colleges curriculum on the pattern of Islamic values. He said the new authority will hire the Islamic scholars and researchers to inculcate the culture of research in the universities and guide the society and people to have their lives according to Islamic values.
