The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Shahbaz Sharif, held a restricted meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in Jeddah on Thursfday. Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were also present, said Prime Minister Office (PMO).
It added at the outset, the Prime Minister conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and expressed profound appreciation for the Kingdom’s longstanding support to Pakistan.
The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in these challenging times.
Both leaders had an in depth exchange of views on the recent developments in the region and agreed to work together for regional peace and stability.
The Prime Minister assured His Royal Highness that Pakistan would always stand firmly with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and strive for their mutual desire for peace in the region.

Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , on Thursday morning left Islamabad for Saudi Arabia and a handout issued by his office here said “Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , flew to Saudi Arabia on a brief official visit for high level talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS) on Middle East confrontation”. It added that the prime minister will be discussing regional war in ME and other related regional and global issues during his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince , MBS in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Office (PMO) also noted in its media statement that the premier ‘s visit to Saudi Arabia and high level discussions with Saudi Crown Prince , MBS, speaks of Pakistan’s key role in pursuing all parties to the ME war for a negotiated solution to the confrontation.
It maintained that Pakistan will keep on playing its role of a negotiator for bringing all parties to the dispute to the ME crisis on the negoation table and finds its amicable solution.
After a gap of a couple of hours , PMO issues an update on the premier visit with an image which shows the premier reception at his arrival in Saudi Arabia.
