PM Sharif, President XI vow to take Pak-China iron-clad friendship to new highs

Beijing /Islamabad : In a message on X, Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif said “I had a most warm and cordial meeting with H.E. President Xi Jinping in Beijing today (Monday) as Pakistan and China celebrate 75 glorious years of diplomatic relations”. PM’s message released by his office added he was joined by DPM & FM Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

The premier said he reaffirmed that the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership remains the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

He noted “I thanked President Xi Jinping for China’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sincere peace efforts and greatly appreciated his visionary four-point proposal for regional peace and stability”.

PM further said “We discussed further deepening strategic coordination, advancing high-quality CPEC development, and expanding cooperation in industry, agriculture, science and technology, clean energy, digital transformation, and space cooperation”.

According to the PMO the premier also appreciated President Xi Jinping’s landmark global initiatives, which continue to promote peace, development, and shared prosperity across the world.

Pakistan-China friendship remains a powerful force for peace, stability, and shared prosperity in an evolving world.
