PM Shehbaz Visits Qatar for Bilateral Talks Today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a two-day official visit to Qatar on October 30-31, 2024, following an invitation from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar.

This visit marks the first leg of his international trip, which began with a two-day stay in Saudi Arabia. During his time in Riyadh, he addressed the 8th Edition of the Future Investment Initiative conference and met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

In Doha, Prime Minister Shehbaz will engage in bilateral discussions with Sheikh Tamim and Prime Minister/Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. These talks will focus on reviewing the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exploring new opportunities for cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.

Delegations from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) will meet with the prime minister to discuss potential investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz will inaugurate the cultural exhibition “Manzar: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from 1940 to Present” on Thursday, which aims to highlight Pakistan’s rich cultural and architectural heritage and strengthen the people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Qatar.
