Islamabad : Pakistan Muslim League (PML) chief , Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain , has constituted a political committee to coordinate with other political parties for creating political consensus in the country .
Former Balochistan chief minister and federal minister , Mir Naseer Mangal, has been appointed as a chairman and Ghulam Mustafa Malik as vice chairman of the coordination committee respectively. Other members of the committee included Tariq Hasan , Intikhab Khan Chamkni and Dr Raheem Awan.
Ghulam Mustafa Malik is a PML ‘s new face in politics. He is a party spokesman and focal person for the ministry of Religious Affairs and ministry of Oversees Pakistanis. Tariq Hasan is a former Niab Nazim Karachi. He also served as an advisor to the Sindh government for two times. Mr Intikhab Khan Chamkni is a prominent lawyer.
Dr Raheem Awan is also a prominent lawyer . He has served as a secretary to Law and Justice Commission. He also served as a director general of Karachi Development Authority (KDA). The PML coordination committee will work to promote political harmony and social interaction among political parties. The committee has also been tasked to consult with all stakeholders and work for preparing a framework for political and economic stability in the country.
The committee will coordinate with the political parties to bring them on a negotiation table for a national dialogue to steer the country out of the current political and economic turmoil.
The committee will also propose a framework for addressing an issue of sense of deprivation in Balochistan , besides studying problems of the public sector and make proposals for implementation of the government to enhance its performance and make it a vibrant sector to play its due role in the development and progress of Pakistan.
