Jeddah: Prominent Saudi Arabia-based businessman, social figure, and General Secretary of the Pakistan Investors Forum, Mehr Abdul Khaliq Luk, accompanied by his elder brother Mehr Abdul Rauf Luk, held a special meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Jatti Umra, Lahore, recently.
The meeting was also attended by PML-N Leader’s Principal Secretary Muhammad Hanif Khan, Maulvi Abdul Shakoor, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab Rashid Nasrullah, and Mehr Ikramullah Luk.
During the meeting, Mehr Abdul Khaliq Luk commended Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his national services and leadership. He briefed the PML-N leader on issues faced by the overseas Pakistani community, the activities of the Takhir community, and the objectives and performance of the Pakistan Investors Forum.
In his remarks, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif described overseas Pakistanis as a valuable asset and the backbone of the country’s economy, stating they have always been held in high esteem. He emphasized that the government believes in the swift resolution of their problems. Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif emphasized on need to introduce Pakistani products to the global market, strengthen business linkages among traders, and increase investment in Pakistan. He assured that the government would provide all possible support in this regard to enhance foreign exchange inflows for the country.
He also mentioned the fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia and appealed to the Pakistani community residing there to respect local laws.
On this occasion, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif presented shields and gifts to Mehr Abdul Khaliq Luk and Mehr Abdul Rauf Luk in recognition of their outstanding services to the community.
