PMLN starts paying political price of anti military narrative

ISLAMABAD. Nawaz Sharif’s recent tweets and address to the all parties conference (APC) held recently in Islamabad wherein he categorically declared his fight was against those who installed Imran into power corridor has baffled many within his party. Those who within the party are either disappointed or opposed to Nawaz Sharif and his daughter ,Maryam Nawaz’ s policy of targeting the state institutions ,particularly, the armed forces, have begun to reject the  supremo’s narrative.

Mian Jaleel Ahmad Sharaqpuri, a PMLN member of  the Punjab assembly (MPA) from Shaikupura -PP 136, has publicly criticised Nawaz Sharif’s narrative and suggested him to shun the policy of targeting the state organs for his politics .

In his talk to media , Mian Jaleel Ahmad Sharaqpuri, suggested  to PMLN supremo that he, as a party top leader, should avoid any narrative aimed at targeting the key state institutions as it was not in the national interest.
Sharaqpuri’s open rejection of Nawaz Sharif’s narrative has created a storm within the party. It’s office bearers like Uzma Bukhari, quickly responded to Sharaqpuri’s point of view of rejecting Nawaz Sharif’s narrative and announced in the media to issue a slast how cause notice to the  detractor–Mian Jaleel Ahmad Sharaqpuri- without any delay. His party membership too has been reportedly suspended as a part of damage control effort.
PMLN may take Sharaqpuri’s case to the Election Commssion of Pakistan (ECP) for  deseating him, but it may not help Nawaz Sharif and his like-minded hawks to make damage control successfully as many other PMLN lawmakers also do not agree to Nawaz Sharif’s narrative of targeting the armed forces for his and his family’s ‘agenda’.
Nawaz Sharif, since his ouster as prime minister, is castigating the military and judiciary and continuously attacking these two key state organs in his addresses to the public. His sojourn to London last year also added to his vengeance that made him more rebellious to attack on state organs .
“He (Nawaz Sharif) is convinced some how that as long as these two state institutions  are strong he will not be able to complete his agenda of ruling this country without any check and balance”, Qamar Cheema, a political analyst, said in his comments on PMLN supremo’s recent speech and tweets.
Nawaz Sharif’s narrative also became more  alarming for majority in the country when he set a stage for other speakers with his rebellious address to Islamabad APC to openly attack the army so that it gets controversial.
A day before the APC in question , PPP chairman, Bilawal Zardari, and other participants of APC had participated in a lawyers conference , which also turned into an anti military forum. It’s one of the speakers made highly alarming remarks against the military. Balawal Zardari and other politicans calmly heard the bashing of the state institutions .
These events and follow up tweets of PML N supremo and his daughter have created a wave of shock for the people at large in the country.
Sharaqpuri’s suggestion to PMLN may not cool down the hawkish Nawaz Sharif and his fellow like -minded in the party, but they may have to pay heavy political price for it as many of PMLN leaders and sitting lawmakers may not digest anti institutions narrative any more.

Federal minister for Science and Technology , Fawad Chaudhary,↵ has been publicly claiming that a vast majority of PMLN workers is not going to accept Nawaz Sharif’s narrative aimed at weakening the state institutions.
