Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Doha for Two-Day Visit

DOHA: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan arrived in Doha on Wednesday for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Upon his arrival at the airport, the Prime Minister was greeted by Qatari Minister of State Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, along with Pakistan’s ambassador and other diplomatic staff,  said a press release issued from the PM Office Media Wing.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, and Attaullah Tarar.

During his visit, he will hold bilateral meetings with Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister/Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. These discussions will focus on reviewing the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.

Leadership delegations from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) will also meet with the Prime Minister to discuss potential investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Moreover, Prime Minister Sharif will inaugurate the cultural exhibition “Manzar: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from 1940 to Present” on October 31, 2024.

This exhibition aims to showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural and architectural heritage while emphasizing the deep people-to-people connections between Pakistan and Qatar.
