Privatization Minister Invites Spanish Investors for B2B

Islamabad (Newsman): A delegation of the Senate Affairs Committee of Spain met Minister for Investment and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan. They discussed several matters of mutual interest like investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Spanish Senators Mr. Vicente Azpitarte Perez, Ms. Natalia Ucero, Mr. Antononio Gutierrez Limones and Mr. Luis de la Pena were part of the respected delegation who are visiting Islamabad.

Talking in the brief gathering, Federal Minister Aleem Khan said that investment chances and profit margins in Pakistan are still larger than any other state.

He added that despite the security problems Pakistan is a big consumer market for several products and a center of commercial activities.

Minister Khan also stated that large-scale bilateral commercial activities should be started between Pakistan and Spain under the Business-To-Business method because Pakistan carry a uniqueness in large and significant products through which it can enhance exports.

Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan while offering investment in Pakistan to firms from Spain, said that the Spanish Ambassador to Pakistan can render a list of business firms so that Pakistan can invite them properly and further these investment issues.

Spanish Senators told Minister Aleem Khan, that both nations can enhance bilateral cooperation including in engineering, highways, overheads and bridges from which both nations can benefit.

The sitting also parleyed over the expo event being conducted in the coming month.

He also suggested that both nations should know each other’s commercial needs and pertinent firms so that both can benefit from mutual expertise and promote joint investment activities.

In the meeting Pakistani rice, cotton, mangoes and other products were mentioned in a cogently manner and the Spanish Senators delegation termed their stay in Pakistan as a memorable one.

The meeting was participated by Spanish Ambassador to Pakistan Jose A. De Ory and Zahoor Ahmed  Pakistani Ambassador to Spain and they both promised their full cooperation in this matter.
