PTI leader Aysia Azeem calls her party decision to quit NA as incorrect

ISLAMABAD : April 7,2023 : Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) member national assembly (MNA) , Aysia Azeem has said her party should have not quit the lower house as parliament is the only forum for law-making in the democratic system, She made these remarks while speaking to a group of journalists in Islamabad on Friday.

Aysia Azeem, who has become the member of the national assembly for the second time , remarked that she was not a member of the national assembly when her party decided to resign from this forum , However , she even today believes her party should have not resigned from the lower house.

PTI leader added that the parliament should makes laws for security of Pakistan and welfare of the public at large . PTI leader recalled that she tabled many bills in the national assembly in her last tenure as MNA and one of them was to impose ban on becoming member of the parliament for dual nationals.

Aysia Azeem we maintained that now she was working on a number of bills to present in the national assembly to secure welfare of the public at large . Asia Azeem said she will table a bill to curb rising incidents of street crimes, dacoties , domestic voilence and violence against women.

The PTI leader maintained that she wants to focus on law making on various crucial issues relating to security and safety of the public at large in general and of women related issues in particular.

The PTI leader said as a member of national assembly she has left with very short time as the assembly will complete it’s tenure in October this year and she has a lot of work to do for the welfare of the people.

PTI leader disclosed that she was working on a plan to table a bill in the lower house for setting up a women university and an engineering university in Islamabad.
Aysia Azeem noted that Pakistan should accord top priority to education to have a good generation which could compete in today’s fast developing world and make Pakistan a real progressive and democratic country.

The PTI leader argued that she was raising voice in the assembly against social and economic disparities through call attention notices.

She demanded that Red Crescent should enhance its jurisdiction to address serious issues contronted with the people of Pakistan as a result of floods, earth quake and other natural disasters.
