KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) local leadership is protesting outside the police station in Karachi where its member Sindh assembly, Shabbir Qureishi, is detained by the police .
The PTI local leaders are calling the allegations level against its Sindh provincial assembly as absurd and demand release of Shabbir Qureishi.
The Karachi police had taken Shabbir Qureshi into custody in wee hours on Sunday on allegations of sexual harassment .
According to Javed Alarm Odhu, addition inspector general Karachi, Shabbir Qureshi has been taken into custody on charges of sexual harassment . According to Javed Alarm Odhu, a women had filed a complaint for registration of the first information report (FIR) against Shabbir Qureshi , PTI MPA for sexually harassing her on Saturday night .
Haleem Adil Shaikh, opposition leader in the Sindh assembly , talked to the media outside the police station where Shabbir Qureshi , was detained . He said the PTI member Sindh assembly was picked up by the police on absurd allegations . He demanded immediate release of the detained Shabbir Qureshi.
