LAHORE, November 20, 2024: Punjab Information Adviser Uzma Bokhari warned on Wednesday that anyone attempting to disrupt peace in the province would be dealt with firmly.
Speaking to the media outside the Lahore High Court (LHC), she emphasized the government’s resolve to maintain law and order, stressing that no tolerance would be shown to those seeking to cause unrest.
Bokhari also raised concerns about the spread of unverified information on social media, urging the public to be more cautious when sharing content.
She announced that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would undergo restructuring to improve its ability to handle cases involving women victims, ensuring a more efficient response to such issues.

In her remarks, Bokhari also addressed the upcoming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in Islamabad, scheduled for November 24.
She criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for spending Rs81 million on the party’s previous protest, and claimed that the government was now asking for an additional Rs58 million to fund the upcoming demonstration.

The Information Adviser accused PTI parliamentarians of misusing official funds for their political protests, alleging that public money was being diverted for party activities rather than for public welfare.
