Reception of 19 Pakistani Imams under training at Al-Azhar University

Attended by Ambassador Aamir Shaukat and Sheikh Abbas Shoman

Cairo (Egypt) — Under the auspices of the Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo, Egypt, a reception was held for a delegation of 19 Pakistani imams undergoing training at Al-Azhar University.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt, Mr. Aamir Shaukat, attended the event as the chief guest. Officials from the Embassy of Pakistan, Cairo, were also present on the occasion. The Ambassador highlighted that this training program is an important step toward strengthening religious, academic, and cultural relations between Pakistan and Egypt.

Sheikh Abbas Shoman, Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and President of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates, also graced the event. He appreciated the training of Pakistani imams and stated that it plays a significant role in promoting moderation, tolerance, and peaceful Islam.

The program marks an important step toward enhancing academic and religious cooperation between Pakistan and Egypt.
