ISLAMABAD : April 15,2023: Religious minister , Mufti Abdul Shakoor , died on Saturday in a road accident in the federal capital .
Mufti Abdul Shakoor left from a local hotel for his office in Civil Secretariat soon after iftar time when a Revo double cabin hit his car.
The federal minister was driving the car himself when a double cabin Revo vehicle hit his car . Mufti Abdul Shakoor had severe head injuries in the accident . He was rushed to Policy Clinic hospital just one km from the accident place, but he succumbed to his injuries .
The senior police officials rushed to the accident place immediately after the accident and they got shifted injured Mufti Abdul Shakoor to the hospital where he breathed his last .
According to the doctors, severe head injury resulted in killing of Mufti Abdul Shakoor in the accident.
The police spokesman said the vehicle and those who were travelling in Revo have been taken into custody by the Ramna police Islamabad.
President Arif Alvi, prime minister Shahbaz Sharif , Interior minister , Rana Sanaullah , Foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari , Information minister , Maryam Aurangzeb , Punjab care taker chief minister , Mohsin Naqvi expressed grief and sorrow over tragic death of Mufti Abdul Shakoor . These political leaders prayed for departed soul .
