Reports of schools closure in Waziristan stir concerns to KPK government

PESHAWAR- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary & Secondary Education Department has taken serious notice of the reports of closure of schools in l North and South Waziristan districts. It has decided to firm a joint monitoring team to visit schools in North and South Waziristan and take punitive action against those teachers/ employees who would be found responsible of closure account F schools in North and South Waziristan .

A directive of KPK Joint Elementary and Secondary Education said an inspection team comprising officials from the Education Monitoring Authority, Deputy Commissioners, District Education Officers, Assistant Commissioners, and Additional Assistant Commissioners to be formed.

These teams will diligently undertake regular visits to each school until the onset of the winter vacation. Urgency is emphasized as the Education Monitoring Authority is called upon to deploy additional Deputy Chief Monitoring Assistants from adjacent districts, ensuring a thorough monitoring approach without compromising existing responsibilities. Deputy Commissioners are instructed to entrust Assistant Commissioners and Additional Assistant Commissioners with the leadership of specialized inspection teams. Notably, any deliberate negligence,

impersonation, or inappropriate conduct by employees or teachers will prompt the immediate issuance of Show Cause Notices, adhering to established rules, and the imposition of significant penalties for non-compliance.
