LAHORE: Dec 29, 2022: Rain left one dead and 25 others injured in Lahore on Thursday.
Unruly traffic caused slippage of motorbikes in different areas of Lahore. The majority of accidents took place in the underpasses of the city.
Lahore is a city of over 30 million people and it’s known for unruly traffic. Commuters hardly follow traffic rules and opt for reckless driving.
In rains and hail storms, the ratio of accidents in the city shoots up.
The traffic police also remain indifferent to the worsening situation of the traffic in rains and storms and in most cases the people volunteer to shift the injured to the hospital for medical help.
A video filmed at one of the traffic accidents in the city on Thursday is self-explanatory. You can not see any traffic warden at the incident site and the passerby is seen helping those ill-fated who was injured in one of the traffic accidents in an underpass.
