JEDDAH ( Saudi Arabia) : A three-day Saudi Food 2026 international exhibition has officially opened in Jeddah, bringing together leading companies and industry professionals from around the world. Saudi Food Show 2026 and Saudi Food Manufacturing 2026 commenced at the Jeddah Superdome, with the opening ceremony attended by Saudi Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Engineer Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah.
More than 1,000 exhibitors from over 95 countries are participating in the event, showcasing more than 100,000 food and beverage products, food-processing solutions, packaging technologies and innovative industry solutions.
Pakistan has established a prominent presence at the international platform with a wide range of high-quality and traditional food products. Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, Syed Mustafa Rabbani**, formally inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion, where more than 30 Pakistani food companies are participating and showcasing their products and export capabilities.
The Pakistan Pavilion features a diverse range of products representing Pakistan’s agricultural regions and food-processing industry. These include basmati and other varieties of rice, beef and mutton, spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, Pakistani mangoes, fish and seafood, dried fruits, nuts, pink Himalayan salt, pulses, fruit pulp, fruit concentrates, processed foods, biscuits, confectionery, sauces, pickles and other value-added food products.
Rice and meat remain among the key food commodities traded between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. According to available trade data, Pakistan exported approximately 169,000 tonnes of rice to Saudi Arabia in 2025, valued at around $163 million. During the same period, Pakistan supplied approximately **30,000 tonnes of red meat** to Saudi Arabia, with an estimated value of around $167 million.
Pakistan’s food exports to Saudi Arabia include rice, mutton and beef, fresh fruits and vegetables, spices, processed foods and seafood. There is also considerable potential for expanding exports of fruit pulp, fruit concentrates, value-added food products, ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat food items.
Pakistani food products have already established a presence in the Saudi market. Pakistani mangoes, in particular, enjoy recognition across the Gulf region, while Pakistani spices, sauces, pickles, pulses, biscuits, confectionery and other traditional and processed food products are increasingly available to Pakistani and South Asian communities as well as other consumers in the Kingdom.
During the exhibition, Saudi, Pakistani and international traders and business representatives visited the Pakistan Pavilion and expressed interest in Pakistani food products. Company representatives held discussions with potential importers, distributors and business partners regarding opportunities in the Saudi market.
Pakistan’s participation in Saudi Food 2026 is aimed not only at showcasing Pakistani products but also at establishing direct business links with major **Saudi food importers, distributors, retail chains, food-service companies and other commercial enterprises**. The participation provides Pakistani exporters with an opportunity to explore new partnerships, strengthen their presence in the Saudi market and expand food exports.
Consul General **Syed Mustafa Rabbani** visited the stalls of participating Pakistani companies and held discussions with their representatives regarding their products, export plans and opportunities in the Saudi market. He assured the participating companies that the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah would extend **all possible support and facilitation to promote Pakistani trade and exports in Saudi Arabia.
The Consul General was accompanied by Commercial Counsellor in Riyadh Dr. Zareen and **Commercial Consul in Jeddah Saadia Khan. They also interacted with representatives of Pakistani companies and discussed measures to enhance the market access and commercial presence of Pakistani food products in Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan’s participation in Saudi Food 2026 is being seen as an important opportunity to promote the country’s agricultural produce, processed foods and value-added food products in the Saudi market and to develop new commercial partnerships between Pakistani exporters and Saudi businesses.
