Saudi media personality Samira Aziz awarded honourary doctorate degree in media studies

Jeddah (Saudi Arabia): — Prominent Saudi media personality and businesswoman Samira Aziz has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Honorary Causa) in Media Studies by St. Mother Teresa University for Digital Education, Development and Peace (SMTU), Australia. Samira Aziz’s journey in journalism dates back at least a quarter of a century, a time when the field was dominated by men and the field was dominated by women in Saudi society, the university said. It was not generally adopted.

According to the university, awarding Samira Aziz an honorary doctorate in media studies (Honorary Cauza) is a proof of her important role in journalism.
Samira Aziz has done post-graduate studies in investigative journalism, mass communication and filmmaking in addition to her Masters degree in International Relations. He served in many leading positions. He was Senior International Editor at Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s Urdu News and Aqaz’s Saudi Gazette and thus his support from global platforms expanded his network and made a great impact on the media industry.
Sameera Aziz is also well known for her program “Welcome to Sameera Aziz” on Asian Radio Live in England. She is still active as a certified media personality and is spearheading innovative projects as the Chairperson of “Sameera Aziz Group of Companies” committed to intercultural dialogue and dispelling misconceptions about Saudi Arabia. It is also playing a meaningful role in promoting global connectivity.
Apart from business activities, Samira Aziz has also given important services in literature and getting historical recognition for her novel, she is called the first Saudi writer of Urdu novel. She is also known as a poet and speaker. She has received many important awards like ‘Great Woman Award of Middle East 2016’.
