Shahbaz Sharif leaves for another sojourn; millions without food, shelter in flood hit areas

ISLAMABAD : September 19, 2022: At a time when one third of the country is inundated due to deadly floods , prime minister Shahbaz Sharif , is busy in having sojourns with largest convoys of ministers and advisors.

At one hand Pakistan is begging for dollars from donors and friendly.countries and on the other the prime minister is continuously making foreign visits just for fun.

Making mockery of those 30 million people of Pakistan who are inundated due to deadly last month floods , the prime minister have
made half a dozen visits to different countries in last less than one month like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) , Azerbaijan , with his delegations comprising dozens of his ministers and political advisors .

His foreign minister , Bilawal Bhutto , has set a world record by making hundreds of visits to different countries since assuming charge as foreign minister in Shahbaz Sharif’s cabinet in May last .

National assembly speaker, Raja Pervez Ashraf , had a sojourn to Canada to enjoy Niagara falls with his family members and friends just two weeks ago.

These official visits of the prime minister and other public office holders are continuing when lives of 30 million people of this poor country are at risk due to flood waters.

The flood affectees are dying of hunger , lack of medicines and shelter ,but the prime minister and his cabinet members and National Assembly speaker are spending millions of dollars on their pleasure foreign trips.

The records of Prime Minister House and Foreign Office can verify that the most of visits made by Mr Shahbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto during the last four months were unnecessary and just waste of public funds.

Can anyone question to Mr Shahbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto why were they having foreign visits for their personal or family repo when Pakistan has no dollars.

What message these leaders of this poor nation are giving to the world by having foreign visits when one, third of their country is badly hit by the deadly floods?

The prime minister had a visit to Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and then after staying less than 24 hours in Pakistan left for United Kingdom with a two dozen delegation members and from there he will fly to the US to address United Nations assembly.

Mr Shahbaz Sharif , Bilawal Bhutto and other public office holders are having foreign visits with huge delegations when the world is having meetings on Skype to save public money of their countries ..
