Shehbaz Sharif and Mohammed bin Salman Discuss Economic Cooperation and Regional Stability

RIYADH, October 29, 2024: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the eighth Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes for the health of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, emphasizing the strong, historical relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Sharif expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s support in Pakistan’s economic revival and stability, highlighting its central role in the country’s future economic plans. The two leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral engagements, following up on decisions made in previous meetings in Makkah and Riyadh in April 2024.

The Prime Minister praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to support these initiatives. They also exchanged views on regional developments and agreed to closely coordinate their positions on key issues.
