* Sitting on bomb *

The other day had discussion with my school fellow Honourable Zahoor Iqbal, a concerned businessman from Swat, who returned midway from Islamabad back to Swat once he found all routes closed.

To me the situation is explosive both politically and economically unless better sense prevails as the things are progressing from bad to worst and Army despite its assurance of neutrality will be sucked in once fights begin to be fought on the streets.

This Royal Canadian Air Force ( R.C.A.F.) Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Allen Davidson enjoying one of his many cigars while sitting on a 1000 lbs bomb in front of a Hawker Typhoon Mark IB at Welschap Airfield (Eindhoven, The Netherlands), September, 1944. War destroyed Europe twice recently but its people rebuilt it and learnt their lessons to live in peace and together ever since.

Pakistan broke once in 71 but we hardly learnt any lessons from our past mistakes. Allama Iqbal was our national poet and his Self Reliance our guiding national principles as a nation but the only legacy of Iqbal that the nation today knows is a national holiday celebrated and enjoyed in his name, as if his only message was holidays . God Help Pakistan In Hands Of The Fools Sitting On The Bomb Of Self Destruction.
