ISLAMABAD : Speaker , Asad Qaisar , has called a crucial session of the national assembly for March 25 to discuss and vote on the no confidence motion filed by the opposition against prime minister, Imran Khan.
The upcoming session of the national assembly could be extremely storming as both the government and opposition are posing serious threats to each other on the day of voting . Not only inside but also outside the parliament both …the government and opposition…have scheduled rallies in Islamabad in support and against the no confidence motion.
Political temperature is so high these days that the opposition reacted to the decision of summoning the national assembly session by the speaker with delay.
Pakistan People Party (PPP) chairman , Bilawal Bhutto in his reaction on delayed summoning of the national assembly session called Asad Qaisar as violator of constitution of Pakistan . He said prime minister was showing his characteristic of a coward person by avoiding voting on no confidence motion. He warned the prime minister of serious fallout for violating the constitution on the issue of summoning the session of the national assembly.
Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal(JUI- F) spokesman Hafiz Saad reacted soon after the announcement of schedule of the session that Speaker Asad Qaisar committed breach of the constitution by not calling session for voting on no confidence motion within stipulated time . He claimed that Asad Speaker was a tiger of Bani Gala and not an impartial speaker of the national assembly.
However, according to a notification issued from the NA Secretariat today, a motion was adopted by the National Assembly on January 21 to allow the exclusive use of its chamber for the 48th session of the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers on March 22 and 23.
It further said that due to its own chamber’s unavailability, the NA Secretariat had asked the Senate Secretariat to provide its chamber for the lower house’s session but it was also unavailable due to renovation work.
The notification further said that the chairman CDA and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad were also approached for the provision of a suitable place outside the parliament building, but “they have informed in writing that no suitable place is available at present in Islamabad.”
“In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances, it is evident that no suitable place would be available for holding the session of the National Assembly till 24th March,” the notification issued in Qaiser’s name stated
