Sukkur : Sukkur IBA University Hosts Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme Phase-III 2023 Distribution Ceremony
Sukkur IBA University proudly hosted the prestigious “Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme Phase-III 2023” Laptop Distribution Ceremony This flagship initiative, executed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, marked a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to digital empowerment and academic excellence among the youth.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, including the former Federal Minister for Water Resources, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, who graced the event as the Chief Guest, and Professor Ghulam Hussain Manganhar, Retired Professor of English, honored as the Guest of Honor. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Mir Muhammad Shah, Sukkur IBA University also joined the event.
The event emphasized the government’s dedication to promoting technology in education and shaping a progressive, knowledge-based society.
Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, addressing the audience, stated, “We believe that empowering our youth with the latest technology is an investment in the future of Pakistan. It is a responsibility on your shoulder to use these laptops positively and contribute to the development of the nation.” Mr. Shah also highlighted the importance of reading and writing.
Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, Vice-Chancellor of Sukkur IBA University, congratulated the deserving students and announced the establishment of a special Students’ society for Reading and Writing, along with an Annual Research competition. Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes, subject to the prior approval of the Syndicate Sukkur IBA University.
The Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2023, aims to bridge the digital divide, providing them with essential tools for academic success. The program reflects the government’s commitment to harnessing the potential of young minds and preparing them for the challenges of the modern world.
