Thatha. Protest against drinking water gets momentum

THATHA: A hunger strike camp has been set up in Dhabeji under the leadership of Ghulam Mustafa Sario, a local resident against the daily shortage of water and alleged malfunction of motor vehicles. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is leading a long march that would pass through Thatha. The people demanded that water be supplied for their use. There are many farmhouses near the agricultural lands whose owners dig holes in the water line for the people and take the goods to their side which does not provide drinking water to more than one lakh population. For two decades, citizens in various neighborhoods have been deprived of water, which is expensive Tankers are being looted by the mafia .On the other hand, half of the population has. been deprived of water due to various excuses and technical glitches. There has been a severe water crisis since last month. The hunger strike camps have seen a stimulus of hope which the citizens have resorted to. A large number of citizens have been demanding higher authorities for access to water.
