On Sunday 19th February 2023, at 1710, I was already 10 minutes late at the venue where the Book Launch ceremony Of the poetry collection related to Bibi Mubarika, a brave Yousafzai lady of Swat daughter of Malik Ahmed Khan whose grave still exists at Thana in Malakand and wife of Emperor Babur by Honourable Sahabzada Riaz Noor.
The ceremony was formally inaugurated by the brilliant young historian and archaeologist Honourable Dr Abdul Sammad, who coupled with Honourable Dr. Ali Jan, who both remain the driving spirit behind every literary activity in the city of Peshawar, particularly.
The function is being graced by the Care Taker Chief Minister Honourable Azam Khan and Honourable Ejaz Rahim Khan , who besides being a men of integrity are men of taste especially in literary sense.
It is indeed heartening that the city that sadly got bad press internationally due to being a front line city that suffered worst spate of terrorist activities in the past is back into safe hands of its intelligentsia diaspora spread across the world.
My best wishes and humble compliments to Honourable Dr. Ali Jan a medical professional by vocation and a historian par excellence by avocation due to whom I came all the way to attend this beautiful function that the beautiful souls in the beautiful spring time was made possible in the city of flowers and gardens that Peshawar remained in the past .
