According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Bara area of Khyber district. During the operation, the forces successfully targeted a terrorist location, killing two militants identified as Haqyar Afridi, alias Khyberay, and Gulla Jan.

In a separate incident, security forces killed one terrorist and wounded three others who were attempting to cross the border from Afghanistan into South Waziristan.
