RAWALPINDI : Nov 6 : Four Pakistani army personnel, including a lieutenant colonel, were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Wadi Tirah area of Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), on Monday, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation based on information about the presence of terrorists in Tirah area. During the operation, the army under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider The troops searched the hideouts of the terrorists in an effective manner, as a result of which three terrorists were killed while three were injured.
According to ISPR, “However, Lt. Col. Mohammad Hasan Haider, Naik Khush Dil Khan, Naik Rafiq Khan, Lance Naik Abdul Qadir were martyred in the fierce exchange of fire.”
43-year-old Lt. Col. Mohammad Hassan Haider was a resident of Islam Anad.
31-year-old Naik Khushdil Khan belongs to Lucky Marwat district, while 27-year-old Naik Rafiq Khan belongs to Charsadda district and 33-year-old Lance Naik Abdul Qadir belongs to Murree district.
A clearance operation is being conducted in the area in view of the possible presence of terrorists.
The Pakistan Army Public Relations Department added that Pakistan’s security forces are committed to end the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave men strengthen our resolve.
At the same time, Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the martyrdom of Lt. Col. Muhammad Hassan Haider and other youths in the operation against terrorists in Tirah valley.
The entire nation salutes the martyrs, the eternal sacrifices of the security forces are unforgettable and the entire nation stands with them in the war against terrorism. The security forces fought bravely and brought the terrorists to their logical end.
