Traders call for protest against FBR on September 29

ISLAMABAD; Traders community has given a call for launching protest against Federal Board of Revenue ( FBR) for September 29, against what its leaders and action committee termed ” Harassment to the traders and industrialists.

Ajmal Baloch , President All Pakistan Anjamun e Tajran and Traders Action Committee Islamabad , and Secretary Khalid Chaudhary , on Thursday issued a handout wherein they alleged that the Federal Board of Revenue ( FBR) was sending different notices to the traders community on daily, which was hampering business activities in the country. Ajmal Baloch said FBR was issing notices to small shops owners to just create harassment and damage their businesses. He said the leaders of traders community had held series of meetings with FBR to persuade them to stop sending notices to the traders for registeration, particularly, to small shops owners who neither understand this mechanism of notices nor have the capacity to pay heavy what these leaders of traders called “bhata” extortion. Ajmal Baloch deploring the attitude of FBR officials said ” FBR boboos do not want any body to do business in this country and their recent notices for registration to small vendors and shop owners was its ample proof”.
He said the new registration system and filing of annual returns was basically a well- planned conspiracy against prime minister , imran Khan and his party… Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI).
Khalid Chuadhary demanded of the Islamabad administration not to create hurdle to dislodge traders protest.

Ajmal Baloch, Khalid Chaudhary and other trader leaders will announce protest schedule at a press conference here on Friday (Today).
